Introducing the Merchery Agency Partner Programme: how it works and what's in it for you

Introducing the Merchery Agency Partner Programme: how it works and what's in it for you

"Design agencies have very specific needs," says Frédéric, who leads partnerships here at Merchery. "Their clients have high expectations. They need a supplier who understands that, who can offer real flexibility on products, expert advice on printing techniques, and consistent quality, because at the end of the day, the result reflects on them."

For a long time, agencies ordered from us the same way anyone else did. They came with a brief, picked products, and placed an order. It worked. But it wasn't quite right.

That gap between a standard customer relationship and what agencies actually need is what gave rise to the Merchery Agency Partner Programme, also known as the Merchery Club.

From observation to structure

The programme didn't start with a slide deck. It started with paying attention.

By separating the agency segment from the wider customer base, we began to understand how agencies actually work: the pitch phase, the prototyping stage, the invoicing requirements, the back-and-forth with clients before a single order is placed.

"When you understand those workflows, you can serve agencies in a completely different way," Frédéric explains.

What emerged is a programme built around the real rhythm of agency life, not just the moment an order is placed.

A partnership that grows with your agency

The Merchery Club is structured around three partnership levels, each designed to grow with the agency relationship.

At the entry level, agencies can access the core benefits of the programme, including partner discounts, referral opportunities, a dedicated sample budget, and Merchery’s full mockup library.

As the partnership develops, agencies can unlock enhanced commercial benefits, larger sample budgets, annual rebates, and closer collaboration with the Merchery team. Higher-level partners also receive access to a dedicated Slack group and more tailored support across product selection, customisation, and production.

The structure is designed to be flexible. Agencies can join at the level that makes sense for them and progress as their relationship with Merchery develops. The focus is not only on order volume, but on building a more useful and collaborative partnership over time.

The financial details and requirements vary by partnership level, so we have kept the overview here intentionally simple.

What partners actually get (beyond the numbers)

The financial benefits are an important part of the Club, but they are only one part of the offer. The wider goal is to make it easier for agencies to develop better ideas and deliver stronger results for their clients.

A financial win-win on each project. Between direct discounts applied immediately on every order, referral commissions, and annual rebates, the programme is designed so that every project becomes more profitable for the agency, not just the end client.

Deeper product research and development. When a brief calls for something that doesn't exist off the shelf, the team goes looking. That means sourcing new products, exploring deeper customisation options, producing physical prototypes, and providing logistics and packaging support from end to end. This means agencies can bring more ambitious ideas to their clients without having to manage every part of the production process themselves.

Samples that make ideas tangible. Digital mockups are useful, but they do not replace seeing and feeling the real product. Agency partners receive access to a dedicated sample budget, allowing them to bring physical products into client meetings and presentations. This helps clients understand the quality, weight, finish, and scale of an idea before production begins.

Free PSD layered mockups. Over the years, Merchery has built an extensive library of high-quality photos and layered Photoshop files. Partners get full access to drop branded visuals into presentations quickly and professionally, without having to source assets independently.

Access to exclusive content. Partner agencies receive access to new product launches, case studies, and practical content about merchandise, customisation, and gifting. The aim is to help agencies bring fresher and more relevant ideas to their clients, while staying informed about what is possible through Merchery.

A dedicated team. Every partner has a direct line to the Merchery team, not a general inbox. "When an agency has a production question or needs to check the feasibility of something, they need a quick, expert answer," says Frédéric. "That's what we're here for." That support can make a significant difference during a fast-moving pitch or when a project involves a tight deadline, unusual product, or complex customisation request.

Whom it's for, and how to join

The programme is open to creative, branding, event, communication, and PR agencies. There is no minimum spend requirement to join at the entry level. The most important qualification is a genuine interest in creating considered, high-quality merchandise for clients.

Onboarding starts with a conversation, online or in person, to walk through the programme's benefits and understand what the agency needs. From there, the relationship takes its own shape.

"We're not looking for volume," Frédéric is clear on this. "We're looking for partners who care about what they put in front of their clients. That's what makes this work."

Where things stand

The Merchery Club is designed to help agencies do more than place orders. It gives them access to better products, more creative flexibility, practical tools, and a team that understands the demands of client work.

For agencies already recommending thoughtful, well-designed products to their clients, the programme offers a more structured and rewarding way to work together.

For agencies considering whether the programme is a fit, Frédéric's answer is straightforward: "If you're already recommending quality products to your clients, we should be talking."
